Looking for thought on which seems the best deal.

    151 1.6 tdi Ford Focus 32,000 kms

    or

    141 1.6 tdi Skoda Octavia 109,000 kms

Both very clean cars ,drive and build quality feel very similar too, the focus being a tad quicker.

The Focus is coming in at €500 more but seems the best deal to me.

Is the focus 1.5 or 1.6? What’s the service history like?

Its 1.6 TDCI Style both cars have good service history.

Style is a base trim model which is quite bare inside. What trim level is the Octavia?

1.6 TDI CR SE , looking at the list of spec i cant see anything the octavia has that the focus does not.

The lower mileage is the clincher so far for me with the focus plus the fact my 10 year old 1.8 tdci focus never gave an ounce of trouble apart from timing belt/flywheel i chose to replace at 100,00miles.

Focus all the way if they're your 2 options.

focus is nearly new at that mileage! I'd buy it.

Yes the focus is practically new with that mileage.
One slight concern is it has the previous generation 1.6 tdci.
Apparently ford offered it or the newer 1.5 tdci from 2015 onwards.

Not a huge concern but id imagine the newer 1.5 might be a bit more refined? purely guess work here, ive nothing to bass this on.

Either way it is a great drive, build like a tank, quick enough for my needs and looks nice in white :)

Ive more or less decided to buy this evening, thanks for input all.

Just use correct oil and service correctly.

If doing a lot of stop start and traffic then service it more regular then its stated to.
