    You can't keep it fresh indefinitely but keeping it in an airtight container in a dark place will prolong its life.

    Also, if you're not a big drinker, buy it in smaller quantities. It's a false economy buying 120 bags at a time if they're going to go stale long before you get around to using them.

    It does go stale, and it also absorbs flavours so keeping it in an airtight container is important if it's not going to be used quickly enough.
