Help please with using old eir router for Three 4g use!!!!!!

Hi all,
I've just moved into a new house and it it will be the end of March before I get broadband as they've to lay cables.
I have an old Eir f2000 router and I was hoping someone can explain to me what I need to do to set it up to connect my phone by USB cable as the only decent reception for 4g is upstairs.
A friend told me its possible but he has no idea how!!
I don't have the first idea what I'd have to change or the Three settings. When I log into the router what do I need to enter?
If someone could please help me I'd appreciate it so much. The kids are driving me insane about the broadband!!

That router will be no use. You will need a 4g gateway / router. Check out the Midband forum for suggestions. You will also need an external antenna if your 4g coverage is that poor.

The phone won't work like that.


If you need it ASAP this is the way but its a tad pricey:
1. Buy this

2. Get a Three *PHONE* SIM card and top up by €20
3. Have 28 days unlimited 4G

You can then add 20E as needed until fixed line is installed. Be warned an OpenEir forecast of March may really mean May or June.

HI, unfortunately I cant afford that at the moment! I'm just going to have to manage with the crappy WiFi hotspot on my phone!!!
