Good quality gates, locking barriers are relatively quite (if you live nearby!).

Gibney Steel Products in Meath. Have their feeding barriers and dividing gates. I happy with them. Find them strong and well built.

I’ve just finished a full kit out of a 4 bay suckler unit last month so here’s my tuppence worth.

Very hard to get prices out of any of them so I feel your pain. Slightly easier to get prices out of ones closer to home as I suppose they would work a little harder to get a job closer to them.

I would highly recommend if at all possible to stick with the guy closest to you as no matter how good you are at doing up the list, you’ll run out of a hanger here or a post there and the last thing you want is to have a couple of days for a lad to have a load going your way. Not to mention once you start the job you might change your mind on something and you’ll need different bits etc.

I got a mixture of both Condon and jourdain stuff and both are top quality. Most suppliers will be able to order in another type of product so don’t be afraid to ask your local lad to give you prices on another product hence how I went with both jourdain and Condon

Can't get them to quote me and I have rang often enough. It's a pity thought the product looked really strong at the ploughing

Where abouts are you? Conroy Agri Supplies are on the Galway/Clare border. Great crowd to deal with. They supply mostly Condon stuff and have an abundance of it. They used to supply Jourdain but changed to a different brand of locking gate, he gave me the reason why but i cant fully recall now. You can see some of their fit outs on the Facebook page here. Worth a shout anyway.
