Yes, I robbed the article heading for the topic heading, as I couldn't have put it better. Basically, 3 scholars spent the last year writing 20 faux studies, all of which contained "something absurd or deeply unethical, or both" and sending them to feminist publications to see if they would be accepted. So far, seven publications have accepted them as genuine, and one has been published. Affilia: Journal of Women and Social Work, accepted one 'study' which was based on the rewriting of 3600 words of Chapter 12 of Volume 1 of Mein Kampf, and basically replaced Jews with white males.

The link has a video of their findings so far, but more work is required. But this is amazing, as it highlights the lack of research on these studies as long as they meet an agenda. Take from it what you will, and shur all the people of AH know now to believe everything you read, but we all know people will believe what they are told, and when these publications are the leading peer reviewed publications in their field, it's signs of dangerous times ahead, and dangerous times we're already in.

One study likened leaving your dog to ride another dog at a dog park to enabling rape! It's really why I don't read into media or news these days, you never get the undiluted truth and there is always an agenda to push. It's also why I don't immediately jump on the accusation bandwagon behind everyone named in the #metoo movement, and similar movements, because trial by media seems to be trumping actual legal procedure, and while a lot of the people named in these movements have indeed been the sexual predators they are shown to be, it's dangerous to blindly accept that each allegation is true.

Unfortunately, I believe the world is already in a situation where everyone should be taking everything they read or are told with mountains of salt, and wait for a full investigation and all facts to be disclosed, but that's not the way people are, instead they are sheep being led around by people with agendas, who care less about legal procedure and more about making noise.

Personally, since all these allegations, i'm extremely wary about chatting up someone. I was never good at it, but now I avoid it altogether because I don't want to be caught up in a he said/she said situation, as we can see that 9 times out of 10, she will be believed regardless of the facts. But this is a personal choice, so not how it is affecting everyone. I personally know of 2 people whose lives were ruined/have the potential to be ruined, because a one night drunken stand turned into an investigation. But again, that's only their side of the story, and while I think it highly unlikely that these people engaged in such actions, I can't say for certain if they did/did not, but I'll wait for the facts before judging.

Always found the book a tough read with the poor grammar, especially the long sentences

Also, he bends the truth a lot regarding his academic abilities

However, I agree with a lot of his beliefs, just think he went Far too extreme in certain aspects

Was a thread on this before, just shows ya how bogus and fake those social studies classes are. It's ideology posing as science. My favourite one that was accepted said that dog's having sex was akin to campus rape culture.

Had they read Moby Dick they would have realised the futility of the comparison, but, alas, the title of the book triggered them.

Serves as a reminder that many feminists are really just malcontent nut cases who've found a convenient 'cause'.

Third wave femminism, is what's going on.

    They're absolute disgusting people.

I barely glance at women walking down the street, i only give the odd glance in case I'd walk past someone I knew and didn't say hello.

A few of my female friends try to set me up on date's now and again.
But I decline, and the more attractive and successful she is the less I'm interested.
Because what's a 40+ woman doing still single, but yet looking for a partner.

Similar can be said for attractive looking successful men, they're not single due to bad luck or them all being bad men.

It's quite obvious they're just enjoying being single and every now and again need to mingle.

That's frowned upon too by the way, men who date too much are players, women who date too much are down on their luck.

    That's according to femminists.

An impossible read, more like ramblings, most of it just 'beliefs' plucked out of thin air. Long sentences are normal enough in German but the style and language used. I lasted about 50 pages and even that was hard work.

True, if I were single again, I wouldn't be arsed getting into a new relationship, I'd just use whores ..

At least there's no strings and you're honest.

Do you know femminists have no problems with prostituting, but they have a problem with guy's using prostitute's.

So in effect they're telling the prostitute's, you're ok but those guy's who are paying you for private fun are not ok

So go out there and sell yourself and espionage is ok as long as you catch a few white males it'll all be good....

    Academic magazines will publish anything.

Even the respectable ones like Nature got caught out.
It's not new been going on for ages with stuff that couldn't have got past a proper review.

And in recent years China has been churning out junk to boost the number of papers published.

Why are they in such a rush to publish ?
No idea but this paper published in 1859 is still behind a paywall if that's a clue.

I wonder have BBC been reporting on this - most likely not, this should be huge news, it shows 3rd wave feminism for the fraud that it is, but of course they won't , it doesn't fit the BBC narrative.

Here's a really good article the guardian did about it. It's part of the long read section so it is long.

    https://www.theguardian.com/science/2017/jun/27/profitable-business-scientific-publishing-bad-for-science

The gist is that these journals make someone pay to be published. And they bundle up all these paid for journals with the subscriptions for other stuff so universities have to purchase them.

I've written about them in threads here before. Strangely the threads are always about someone putting some stupid joke feminist paper up online to show how bad these journals are. The OP in the thread always takes it as "look how stupid the feminists are" rather than realising that the point is to show how stupid the journal is.

I actually saw something over the weekend from people in professions telling us something the general public didn't know. A scholar came out and said that journals charge for you to access the full document, but if you approach the author directly, they will provide it free of charge.
