Its like a small rattle /scratching noise .. it could also be coming from the aircon pump area but its hard to identify. Any ideas ? I hope it can be heard from the video i have attavhed

I can't hear any audio in the video. On my passat I had a problem with the alternator belt / tensioner, the belt had stretched and the tenioner was hitting the limiter stop for amount of travel. Hitting the stop generated huge noise and sounded quite deathly.
Remove th belt and see if it still makes the noise. Usually a square part of the tensioner you can put a spanner on the remove tension / pretension. Start engine. No need to drive it obviously. Run for a few seconds and it will hopefully be quiet

Could be the one way clutch on the alternator as well.
