Need a Laptop in a Hurry!

    Hi everyone!

I need your help in choosing a new laptop that I have to have before Monday. I can buy anywhere in the Dublin area, so Curry's, DID, Harvey Normans, Argos etc (I just don't have time to buy online alas).

It's for college, and 75% of the time it will be used for MS Office, general internetting etc. However, I'd like something with some CPU headroom as we'll be using GIS software later in the semester and next year. A 13.3" screen is okay, but if it's at all possible to get something bigger, then I'd appreciate that. At least 8GB of RAM, and at least a 256GB SSD would be preferred. If I could get something that will last all day, battery-wise, and decent to type on, great! Windows only.

My max budget is €1000, and I'm willing to sacrifice portability if it gets me closer to the above specs. Don't get me wrong, sleek and light would be fantastic, but not if it means missing out on better battery life, quad core CPU etc.

I had a very, very quick glance this morning, and found this HP Envy as a starting point, but really I'm no expert on laptops. Can you find me something better? Thanks in advance!
