I was recently give a 2004 Peugeot 206. With insurance and and the work I put into it to get in on the road I don't really want to put any more money into it.

I have seen videos online of people removing dents with boiling water and a sink plunger. Has anyone tried this?

Pictures of the dents would help.

There are many way to handle dents, start with something less dangerous than hot water..

Yeah, that looks like a dent that can be pulled or pushed without too much bother
The use of hot water or a hair dryer will soften up the metal/plastic so it can be moved without breaking.
The problem with a plunger is to get a airtight seal with the wing. You can anything with a good suction cup, like here

Me, I'd try to push the dent first.
Loosen the arch lining and see if you can reach in and push.
Then try pushing after warming area up with a hairdryer or just go directly to hot water.
Wear gloves and have cold water ready to cool down the paint after.

Plenty 206's lying up in scrapyards, a straight wing from one of them would be an easy enough swap over if the fist, hot water & plunger don't give the desired result.
