Before I take the plunge can anyone recommend a phone?

Also will I loose all my music. I have been with apple for years. Is there anyway of transferring it to android

What software do I use on pc as I have tried to transfer music to media player in the past and cannot seem to get it to work.

On my laptop I can only seem to access the music through I tunes

There is an Apple music app on Android. No need to lose or change anything

I changed to Samsung S8 a year and half ago after from being with Apple since the iPhone 3gs.

Do it, you won't regret it.

As said above, you won't lose your music.
Ive used Google Music on the S8 and it syncs with iTunes.

I recently swapped to a OnePlus 6t as I was fed up paying through the teeth for iPhones. Excellent phone, lightening fast and two-day battery life. The only negative I've found so far is the camera; it looks good but it wouldn't be as sharp as a premium phone's camera. I'm not exactly a pro-photographer, so I've gotten over that.

what's your budget or will you be going on contract?

Have both apple and Samsung S9. Have to say the S9 takes getting used to. Recently changed from an old Samsung to the S9 and there is a massive improvement.

Music is not an issue, don't worry about that.

Camera on s9 is superb, still prefer the ease of functionality of the Apple though (but that is just a personal preference)

All phones basically do the same thing now. Apple are just too damned expensive.

If your just a regular user of a phone ie calls, texts, music, apps then you will be fine on android if your already using the apple ecosystem and having the best most secure platform that you don’t sell your privacy soul to google for then stay with Apple.
