Advice on painting small kitchen tiles

I have kitchen tiles covering area behind sink under cooker and under cabinets.

The colour is quite dated and I’m considering freshening them up to try and brighten up the kitchen.

I estimate the area that is tiled to be roughly 8 metres x 1 meter which is actually more than I thought!

The tiles are 20mm x 20mm so they are quite small. The colour is very dark blue and I would like to paint them silver.

I rent so don’t want to invest much money in this but would like to freshen the kitchen up but not make a pigs ear of it :)

I would rather not grout as that would be sooooo much work.

    Thanks boardsiea :)

Get 1 litre of Bloxx It primer ( tinted light grey), 2 x 4inch short pile rollers and tray, can of eggshell ( or gloss) OIL based silver paint and away you go. Give them a light rub of fine sandpaper inbetween coats. Be careful not to knock anything against them for about 3 weeks

You can get a grouting pen.

Wow three weeks, that is a long time to try and keep them from being touched at all. I was expecting 12 hours, is there a reason that it is 3 weeks to set?

Would I be able to cook with them behind the cooker? Also what about the grout or will the rollers just take care of this?

    Thanks :)

    Amazing :D

Can this just go over the paint to make it look like grout?

So I do what has been outlined above and then colour in the grout?

    Looks amazing :D:D

Roller should get into the grout. The 3 weeks is to let the paint cure but it should be dry after 24hrs depending on environment. You will é able to work away normally just don't bang stuff off them
