Did anyone ever use garden shed to practice drumming? What sort of a shed would be best and would it have to be insulated or heated in winter to prevent damage to drums

Rockwool and plasterboard. Did the job on a wooden shed for many years.

If you have close neighbours insulation & a bit of soundproofing is a must.
Even if you dont, insulation is still a must or you'll be freezing!

In the room in the house you keep a drum kit, how warm/cold should it be . can radiators be on or would they dammage the kit?

Do you guys withdrums in your home have them in a heated room in wnter. says anormal room 20 degrees would be about normal. Would that be OK

Heating will the keep the damp out & protect any instruments and electronics (amps/PA) left in the shed long term. Difficult to soundproof a room in a house enough to make life tolerable for your housemates without spending fortune. You can get steel sheds with built in insulation that should be ok for a garden e.g. this company did a shed for me and it's well insulated & dry. Havent used it for band practise so cant speak for it's sound-proofing level.

Westernguy, I've merged your two threads, as they're basically the same question.

In general, if a room is too cold for you to sit in, it's too cold for your instruments.
