    Hi all,

As the title says I am looking for good Indy BMW Mechanic in Dublin area.

Car starting to act strange lately, I think it might be related to a recall that I'm still waiting to be called for but would like to get it checked out.

One of the symptoms as per the recall letter is "Jerking or momentary power loss from engine whilst driving", which I think is what is happening but I would also like to get it checked over in case it could be a problem the automatic gearbox

Basically sometimes when I pull off the car feels sluggish and jumpy, but then it kicks into life, it does not happen all the time. But the other night when reversing from the garden the engine cut out, once restarted it was ok.

    Model is a BMW 2010 320D M Sport

If its against any rules to name recommendations please PM the details

    Thanks
    G

What part of Dublin are you in, if its Northside I used CD Motors (Colm) to look after a BMW I had and found him very thorough

Email BMW Ireland and request the recall ASAP as you are showing symptoms of the known issue and want to avoid it getting worse.

    Thanks all

@rabbitinlights That was my thinking too

And then if problem persists after the recall fix I will head to one of the recommended places above, I'm on the Northside so might look at CD Motors

Just as an update, I did this and booked in for 1st March, this was the earliest date they had.
Funny enough when I got home that day after calling dealership to book appointment I arrived home that evening to another recall letter from BMW advising me to call them to book in as they now have the parts for the recall in stock :D
Fingers crossed my issues experienced so far are due to the recall of the cable on the battery terminal
