    hi

im redecorating the hall and i'm not sure if the front door is dry enough to paint inside

im painting it a shade of white and at the moment it seems to be the original manufacturers teak finish like it was never varnished

i just wiped a load of green/brown slime off it and it seems dry to the touch but im concerned it may be damp

should i wait until the summer and use a stain blocking primer or could i go ahead now?

    thanks

I'd say you've got bigger problems than paint. Sounds like water is getting through from the outside. I've only once ever come across this before. It was a door that faced due south and the temp changes caused panel gaps to open enough to allow rain to permeate through to the inside.
