Permanent tracking app on Android

    Hi,

Looking for a permanent tracking app for keeping an eye on my father (location only). Basically he is in his late 70's and getting a bit doddery.

I have his full permission to do this on his phone.

I don't need to know whats going on on his phone, just his location.

I can use the location sharing on google maps, but it only lasts for 72 hours before the link expires (he's not technical enough to setup a fresh link).

Are there any recommended app out there to go this? Don't mind paying for the app outright but would rather stay away from monthly subcription costs.

    TIA

Android Lost - lets you do a dozen things alongside simple location including taking pictures, pulling call logs, messages, history etc.

You will just need to login to a website (https://www.androidlost.com/) and enter your dads username / password for GMail.

tbh i wouldnt bother. Id get him a gps watch. Like the ones for kids , they also do adult versions. These are low power and dont need to be charged everyday.

A phone will die fast and easy using always on tracking. Its just not great

Also the watch he cant really lose.

Thanks people, forgot I could just sign onto his google account and check, didn't want a big pop up to launch on his phone when I did that but it appears this doesn't happen.

Google offers this in maps, it's opt in and called timeline. I use it all the time to track times and locations for work (for my own use only)

Could you not just use Find My Phone? myaccount.google.com/find-your-phone
