Plastering?

    Hi all,

I recently separated from my wife amicably I might add, and it is not financially viable for either of us to sell the house or for one of us to move out.

As such, I recently went about the process of planning the renovation of my garage into a livable unit. I had not previously plastered outside or inside the main walls. It is a standard sized garage, single cavity brick. I was interested to hear as by no means an expert about the possibility of waterproofing the walls with a sealant or another way instead of having to face the cost of completely plastering both exterior and interior walls.

If anybody has any advice or experience in such matters please do let me know. It would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

Planning for change of use/is it habitable height-wise?
