Guys, need some advice on this please, mods please move if appropriate, in the event of a settlement in a works dispute, if hypothetically a payment is made, are non Union members entitled to any such payout,? Union is taking a claim and some members are non Union, any advice appreciated thank you.

Depends on the settlement, depends on the industry, depends whether public or private sector, etc.

Sorry, didn't explain that very well, didn't want to name organisations or unions etc, trouble is the last thing I want, it's a public sector job, there is a claim being persued by union, pertaining to the working time act, if successful there's talk of extra pay or new work practices, we don't really know yet, I'm just wondering will it affect non union members? Thanks again

If the employer was breaking the working time act, and the union proves it, I would assume all employees would be entitled to whatever the outcome is.

    Seems like common sense but...

Yes, it will apply to all union and nonunion staff in the grades/sections related to the 'dispute'
