Female Singer looking for Music Partner

Hi there.

I'm a 36 year old female singer who is looking for a musician of similar age to write, gig and record with.

In a nutshell, I want to write originals and release and gig them. But also gig covers on the side.

My influences are vast. I love all sorts of music. Pixies are my blood. But I mostly listen to electronica, psychedelic rock, reggae, Motown, blues, house etc.

My vocal style is clear, soft but full bodied. I ran a voice coaching business for almost a decade, have studied in BIMM and have about 15 years experience gigging, recording and writing. I also studied sound engineering but being honest, i'd probably blow a studio up with my 'skills'.

I have grown really tired of the generic pub scene. I never wanna sing 'Don't Stop Believin'' ever again. . I know that there is a market out there for people who are tired of listening to the same old crap.

I have spent too much time trying to fit into a band.... Now I want to meet someone who I can click with so that the two of us can inspire each other into greatness and create some really fantastic music. I'm not particularly egotistical so I need to work with someone who allows other points of view and has a warm, encouraging personality.

I would like to think that I am at the top of my game in terms of my vocal ability. I'm really looking for someone who has honed their craft also and who's playing is of a certain standard. I'm a bit rusty, having taken a break over the past 4 or so years so no probs if you're a bit rusty too.

I want to create something original. I want to push my writing skills and feel safe and comfortable in doing so. I am open to it staying as a two piece or adding more members as time progresses.

I want to gig covers - but only if I don't have to sing DSB!! Basically, when we're not creating original magic, it would be nice to gig covers - but GOOD covers. Ones that we enjoy playing and can offer people something a little bit different.

I know I must have checked this page much earlier so I could reply to your message.
I am a musician and composer of Latin music and currently working in a project for original Latin music including lyrics, arrangements and music.

I know how boring it is to spend years playing the same thing without giving room for creativity and originality.

I do believe that the audience should be educated and even challenged with new rhythms, sounds and lyrics; they deserve to hear new creations.

Hi surfa,my name's declan.im much the same as your self but got ten years on ya but still lookin 30😁last time I'm played a gig was London with my band there had a great time and got to spend a week with my daughter who's 11 so that was cool.i play guitar and sing my main influence's are blues/country style folk ect.rolling stones I love bob Dylan johnny cash the list goes on.im open to try anything at this stage so if your interested let me know.
