Marvel Colour Coding

    Hi there,

    I am in the process of gathering my collection of Marvel comics. I have a number of single issues and a number of collections.

    I noticed on the spine of the collections there is a colour at the bottom of them (Red, Blue, Purple, etc.) however i can't seem to find what they mean.

    Best guess is they are what universe or time line they are in as I have Secret Wars with a red Tag and so is Civil War 2.

    If anyone could shed some light on what this means that would be amazing!
