Hi... I recently purchased this remote for my dad as he was finding the sky remote to confusing the use with his dementia. I have programmed it to change channels and turn the tv on and off however I can’t get it to turn the actual sky box on can you help please

I use a universal remote myself.
I just googled Doro Dementia friendly remote to see what you're using - if its the "Handle Easy" remote - maybe program the "AV" button to be the power button of the Sky box?
If you're manually programming the Doro I'd recommend training the Doro remote by using the TV's original remote (Not the Sky remote) - it could just confuse the ease with setting it up.

I dont have access to youtube this minute but it's often a good spot for hints tips with new tech too.
Best of luck with setting this up for your Dad.
