Just want to do my form 12 for 2018 and claim medical and pension relief. The income & tax has not been populated yet on the form. Do you have to request p21 first for 2018?

That information won't be available until your employer files their P35. That has to be filed by the 23rd of February.

If you’ve got your last payslip of 2018, all the information you need is on that.

You'll have to be more specific. Perhaps you could quote it here.

I haven't requested it, it's issued automatically by them no?just some friends I know have already gotten theirs

they were always a horror to deal with for stuff like this so don't even want to have to engage with them

You have to request it online. If you've got your P60 you've all the info to do it.

right, thanks I got a bit mixed up there, so it's my P60 I'm waiting on then I can fill that in manually myself,

is there a deadline to when you should receive your P60?

Employers end of year returns (P35) for 2018 should be filed with Revenue on or before 23/02/19. So you should get it by then if not before.

No point requesting a p21 until p35s have been submitted which your employer may not have done yet. Wait until next month to request it.

Are health expenses shown on page 2? If they are, then they were taken into account.
