Dealing with Blindness?

Might sound strange posting on here given the condition but have been asessed as legally blind since November.

My eyesight was determined as 6/60 in one eye and hand signals only in the other which means I am legally blind. The NCBI say that 95% of people who they deal with have some limited ammount of vision, as I do, but this is a life changing situation for me.

I am 43 now and had laser eye surgery about 11 years ago which was a relevation as it improved my sight so much. i remeber them sayind that once you hit 40 tour eyesight will decline and that's what I thought was happening until it deteriorated so quickly last Autumn.

I am struddling to deal with all this and have been off work as a result but have a meeting in just over a week to see if thats possible. It will be difficult with the type of work i do. I never thought that this would happen to me and am really struggling with dealing with it.

Would love to hear if anybody has been through this or something similar? I am trying to be as positive as I can with family and friends but am struggling

So sorry you are going through this OP was told I have cateracs in both eyes a few weeks ago and I am freaking out over that so cant imagine what you must feel like
