Samsung Galaxy Tab A will not start

    Hi there, I'm having an issue with a Samsung Galaxy Tab A that will not start.

    It just has a black screen as if its not powered on, no matter what I do. I have left it for a few days so that if it was on the charge would go, I've connected the USB Cable to charge it and there was no sound, and after 10 mins or so disconnected / reconnected and I heard the charging bleep.

    I tried to disconnect, hold down power, volume up and home keys, nothing.
    I tried to hold down power, volume down and home keys, nothing.
    I tried to hold down power and volume up, nothing.
    I tried to hold down power and volume down, and nothing (although once it sounded like it took at screenshot, like a camera shutter).

    So essentially I've not had anything work.

    And ideas of what to try or any help is very much appreciated.

    I had the same issue, I tried all the different button combinations to reset the tablet and none of them brought the tablet back to life.

    I got on to Samsung they collected it, repaired it and had it back to me within a day or two. It was covered under warranty. I was impressed with their turn around time.

    I had 2 go like this , mine and the missus. They were both on but the screens were dead. If you turned the volume up you could hear the beep. As above, both were replaced by Samsung.
