    Hi folks.
Just seeking views on this car.
    https://www.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/audi-a6-2015/20587726

I have been looking over the past few months.
Really want the 2015 face lift model but it's really pushing the budget to the limit.
This is falling within it mainly due to the mileage being what it is.
It is manual and while i have driven the auto, im not really bothered either way.
If I had the choice Id probably go with auto.
Most of the other stuff in 2015 that is sline black edition is up around 28k.
There is a 12 month warranty and the dealer is close by.
Would the manual be worth less than the auto in 2 or 3 years down the road?
Should I wait on in aticipatation of more Pcp cars coming back over the next few months and possibly a price drop due to the large numbers on forecourts?

Take a look at A6's in the North, should have a few Black Editions within budget.
I would recommend the Auto over a manual any day, picked up an Auto 162 Black Edition A6 up North in October last year and absolutely love it would never go back to a manual after this.

Mileage on that car is huge I think you would get better elsewhere. If you haven't already looked check out http://www.reillycars.ie/ in Longford. Give them a call and explain what you are looking for as they bring a lot in from the UK.

    Cheers Deco.
That is confirming my own gut feeling.
It just feels awkward going through the gears. Not sure why.
The main reason I was thinking of dealing with the guy above was he was giving me good money for my own as a trade in.
My own is a 171 Kia ceed so i don't think the guys up the north would have any interest.
It's hard to sell 2 year old cars private because of the 0% Finance on alot of the new cars.
The ideal situation is to go up the north to Shane Connolly or some one like reilly cars and look for a straight deal.
Back to the drawing board so.
    Thanks again.

Mileage is above average but standard going for a UK commuter car of that age With the facelift model you would have the option of the S-Tronic automatic which is way superior to the manual. If it were the older multitronic CVT then I'd go with the manual. I'd hold tight and take my time until something comes into budget rather than compromise though.

Triangle tyres!! i'd wager those wheels are replicas too.

Yeah, go auto. I changed from the manual to auto and wouldn't go back. As said above, make sure it's the Ultra (s-tronic).There are some late 2014 ones out there.

Ha. Ha. I hopped that off him about the triangle tyres.
He told me they were on it when she came in.
    Was a company car.
Came in July 17 from the UK.
Time to hold the head id say.
Have wanted one of these since they came on the scene in 2011.
    Had a few a4s in the past. B7 , B8.
Went down the road of a new car in 17.
Kia, 7 year warranty, bla, bla, bla.
My old A4 with 120k miles was tighter and nicer to drive but i got blinded by the Kia sales man.

Will definitely be s tronic as i will hold out for the 2015 face lift model.
If for nothing else only those dynamic indicators.........

Yeah definitely recommend the S-Tronic, very smooth driving. Give Reilly a call they take trade ins as well so they might do something for you on that you never know. Also Charles Hurst are now down South also so they might be an option if you saw an A6 in one of their showrooms in the north they would probably bring it down for you, trade in your car and do a decent deal with you. Worth trying.

We bought a 141 a6 S Line a couple of weeks back. Really like it. It's a year older than yours and not the black edition but it's a super luxurious car. Really nice to be in. 36,000 miles/60000 one on it. Auto. Black car, black leather aluminium interior trim.
That one has high mileage and is a manual and is asking top money so I'm not sure I'd get that one. It will be a young 200k kms car in no time with a gearbox not normally associated with this class of car. You'll take a serious wallop if you want to change any time soon.
But as for the a6, I'd very much recommend them. I've a 141 f10 530d too and I can't pick my favourite of the 2

It's in my dream colour and all. Moonlight blue. Had an a4 in that colour before and always got compliments on it.
Only problem is I still have a 171 Kia to get rid of before i could go down that route.

    Where are you based OP?

I would 100% hold out for an auto. I just bought a 2017 A6 avant Black edition and love it. I had an auto 5 series before that.
In an A6/5 series etc I'd never buy a manual.

Well to honest i would have no problem travelling for the right car.
It's just that my Budget at the moment would be around 25k and that's is allowing an average figure for what i was being allowed for my own car in the few places I looked at a6s

Any opinion on 20" rims on Black edition. I'm guessing ride quality would suffer, along with them been easily damaged/warped. And cost to replace rubber. etc.

    I'm in market for a 2016 but think I'll.stick with 18"'s. so I'll.stick.with s line.

Nice selection up north but most are Black Edition or s lines with aftermarket 20" rims.

Autotrader has more selection of s lines in UK and slightly more competitive pricing.

Seen a good few 2015 auto slines from Audi garages in UK with 1 yr warranty ( I presume it transferrabe to ROI) and alot less miles that that white one for £17-18 and would be well cleared at 23-€24k

To be honest I was expecting the ride to be much harsher on the 20s but was happily surprised that it was not bad at all.
I took it out around the back of an industrial estate where the surface was fairly choppy.
I had planned on selling the rs6c wheels and puting on a 19.
As a few above have said as yourself there is value to be got in this line of a car by going to the UK.
Unfortunatly because of the trade in that is not an option.
Had a think about it and i do have a fairly specific car in mind.
15/16 A6 Black Edition, Automatic, Moonlight blue, Mileage sub 70k miles.
Might have to wait for a few months for it but in the mean time i will advertise my own and hopefully go north or the UK when the right car becomes available.

I came from an f10 msport with 19”runflats to an A6 avant with 20” wheels and sports suspension and I have no complaints with the 20s and I think they look great.

The one issue I have is the pedal positions in the A6. It's much less of an issue with the auto but I still fee l that either the footrest is too far away or the pedals too close...the pedals are offset as well.

Not many others seem to notice it though so maybe it's my body, not the car!

That's not a Black edition as they have full leather, flat bottom Steering wheel and fully electric seats. Would you not import one?

I got a lovely Avant before Christmas and didn't have to leave the country. I'm not living far away if you wanted a look.

Yes. It is an Irish car from day 1.
I was looking specifically for one with the Alcantara interior but i wasnt aware that it is only 150 bhp.
I have driven the 190 and felt it needed every bit of it.
Thats a bit of a dissapointment now.

Thought about importing alright but if i can find something here, i dont mind having to give a little extra to save the hassle.
    Thanks for the offer.

Super car well wear. I love/loved my last 2 A6s. Have the new model now but there is certainly something more connected to the driver with the old one with less tech. Loved the Bose sound system too.
