Internal Audit

I've been offered a role in a market risk role in internal audit at a tier 1 bank. It's a senior role, have no experience in internal audit but they said they'd train me up. My background is in market risk and valuation.

Would anyone here have any experience in similar roles?

The role appeals to me as it gives me an opportunity to diversify my skillset in something new while allowing me to gain exposure to a wide range of businesses. Also it's very well paid and from what I hear work life balance in internal audit is better than most roles I would have done. That might give me more time to study for professional qualifications.
