Contract Employee Vs Sole Trader/Ltd Co

    Hi all,

Been offered a 12month contract with a company, €250/day rate or €300/day rate if I contract as a sole trader/ltd company, neither of which I have as I've always been an employee. The role will be in a single location close to home.
I will also have a small c€3k EE income from a part time job

Just wanting some simple advice as to..

    What's involved to sole trade?

Do I need to VAT register, €300 day would probably equate to around €70k annually

    Sole or Ltd co?

Whether this would be worth the move (away from EE status) given the expected duration? I assume as a non-EE I won't get paid holidays/bank holidays etc which need to be taken into account

    Thanks in advance
