4 -4.5 inch android advise

Would anyone have a recommendation for an Android device with this size display? Touchscreen Display. I have been using Xaoimi but I'm open to other Chinese brands. The screen size is the main thing. It would only be used for calls messaging and checking emails, therefore, the camera doesn't have to be anything special. Internal memory can be low too.

    Unlocked 4g under €200

    TIA

basically there are pretty much no android phones of that size being released.

the sony xz1/xz2 compact fits the bill but above your price range.

screen sizes may be getting bigger but the screen-to-body ratio is also higher so the overall size of the phone is not necessarily bigger.

the honor 9 lite is a decent phone that is not too big that you can easily pick up in Argos for less than 190 euro

If you're willing to buy second hand, a Sony Xperia Z5 Compact is nearly the right size (4.6") and has decent battery life.
It's also waterproof and has a really good camera. Well under €200 with a guarantee from CeX.

I'd suggest buying an older, used, network unlocked phone that's supported by one of the 'unofficial' custom android releases like LineageOS. https://lineageos.org/

You should be able to have all android pie features on an older smaller 4" - 4.5" phone.

Sis got Samsung j3 2017 after using a first gen moto g for years.Moto was 4.5" Samsung is 5". Samsung is only slightly bigger due to screen to phone ratio but it gives you a bigger screen and phone can be used one handed. She got hers all in and unlocked for €80.Its not a bad phone either from the little I have played with it.

but.... small battery, low ram with 2gb (3gb min for 2019 really), low storage @ 16gb, poor cpu

    OP

I'm thinking of upgrading my Sony Z3 Compact.

Its a great device, but just thinking of going for a slightly bigger screen.

    Would you be interested?

the battery must be in rag order for a device that came out originally in 2014

    Funnily enough, its pretty good.

Its my 2nd Z3 Compact though, I charged the 1st one all the time using one of those rapid chargers from Sony, I think it killed the battery.

No fast charges for this phone now.

Redmi 6. I know a big phone. But I have a Redmi for two years with little trouble and I was in a rush.
