I can't hear it too well, but there's definitely a corvid crowing at the end of the clip. A Rook or Raven most likely.

We have Raven close by and I often hear the same sound - also they do a call that sounds like a small dog barking :)

I've a request for a bird identification, too. It's definitely not a raven, but I thought it'd be ok to ask on this thread instead of opening a new one.

There's a tiny bird around these past few days. It's recently fledged, I've caught glimpses of it and I could see it could fly reasonably well, if not very far, but its tail feathers are still quite short. I thought it might be a juvenile goldcrest, but the pictures I found on the internet don't seem to match. It's an even enough beige colour that veers more towards grey rather than yellow. It doesn't seem to have any markings yet (i.e. like the feathers of a dunnock, for instance). What struck me was its call. It makes a sound that I can only describe as a repetitive "Meep! ... Meep! ... Meep!", the note is slightly higher on the "me" than on the "ep", but it sounds like the lower notes of a squeaky toy, not the piercing/acute sounds.

    Any ideas?

Not a fledgling anyway... not this early in the year. Chiffchaff is a possibility... check out photos online and see if that fits the bill.

You could also check out chiffchaff calls on xeno-canto.org to see if that's a match.

Looks a bit like it (as I said, I couldn't take a good look at it), but the calls don't seem to match.
