From an EV perspective its apparently the Nissan Leaf Nismo
    https://nissannews.com/en-US/nissan/usa/releases/nissan-at-ces-2019-see-the-invisible

    - A new technology platform to "See the Invisible," creating an entirely new driving experience through connected worlds
    - The U.S. debut of the all-new, twin electric motor, all-wheel drive Nissan LEAF NISMO RC racing machine
    - Nissan Energy demonstrations, including solutions that create a fully integrated electric vehicle ecosystem.
    - A display of the IMx KURO concept crossover electric vehicle
    - New vehicle introduction, displays and EV cafe

Not sure what the "New vehicle" is. Could be L60.

It will be some Nismo prototype concept crap

CEO is in jail, Nelson Mandela style

    Being starved to death :p

Will be no Leaf60 announcement for a long time imo

    Company is in disarray

If Nissan are clever the L60 is actually a Qashqai EV.
There would never be an available CHAdeMO charger on this Island again.

They can't even get the YouTube stream to work

E+ information is out, will be just called the Plus in North America.

    160kw electric motor, torque 320Nm.

Battery capacity not listed, but claims 40% more range than L40, at 226 miles.

Interestingly, the physical size of the battery is said to be slightly bigger than the L40's battery.

Also it looks like it will use AESC batteries, and not those from LG chem, which is a bit of a surprise.

We need a more sustainable means of transport.

    This isn't it.

This is just consumerism and clever marketing.

    Rumours were true then

    Couldnt get them till 2021

Also no liquid cooling, 70kW CHAdeMO charging with 100kW peak

22kW On Board Charger for EU

Very much a Kona Competitor hopefully the battery doesn't have #rapidGate issues.

Be mad to buy one of these instead of a Kona

Stuck on 50kW charging for ever

No access to Ionity network, public charging only

Inferior battery tech compared to top tier LG cells

We'd really need Bjorn to do a proper test. Tbf with a 22kW slow charger it could suit a large number of people.

Start the day with the full EPA range 364km. For each hour you plug into one of the 22kW chargers you'd add 115km of range. It's not a car for me but I can see why you might take one if coming from an L24/30.

    Very disappointing :(

No such thing as 70kW CHAdeMO charging in Europe and there probably never will be. And max 43kW charging really is not on for 2020. It wasn't even on for 2016.

Looks like VW et. al. will bulldoze all over this...

Looks like this thread got a bit messy last night with two people fighting, the moderators had to close this one temporarily for a bit of a tidy up. I reported the other thread a while ago, requesting this one and that one be merged.

Thanks unkel. We may as well let the other be the main thread.
