Toyota chr sat nav maps

Just bought a 2016 CHR which doesnt have the sat nav installed.is there a way of downoading the maps?

But if you don't have sat nav installed why do you want maps. Sat nav is an option which involves extra hardware to be installed

Its not installed but I want to see if its an option that I can get it

You can probably get the head unit upgraded by Toyota, but the cost will be ridiculous. And it won't have live traffic in Ireland. Much better off getting a decent phone mount and use Google Maps, or get an aftermarket head unit that supports Android Auto or Apple CarPlay.
