I'm investing in an index tracker fund that's made up of stocks. Up until now I've just been investing straight into the fund, but there's an option to keep some cash on the side.

Would you say that it's a good idea to keep some cash sitting in the account so that you can by in cheaply when the market crashes?

If so, what % of your fund should you keep in cash?
