    Hi,

My EirTV keeps freezing when im watching it; i'll reset the box and then an error will pop up stating:

"It is not possible to connect to Eir Vision. Your set top box must be connected to the broadband for which it was registered".

Now as this has been happening a fair bit, I need to know is this a known error?

Also is EirTV susceptible to contention?

I asked on your twitter page about contention in general but they point blank would not answer me when I asked them, just kept referring me to your webchat (which I have had less than stellar experiences with previously).

    Can you help?

It's getting to the stage where I can't watch the TV I'm paying you for...

    Hi DrumSteve.

Sorry to hear that you are having problems with your eir vision service.

Unfortunately, we would be unable to troubleshoot that here for you.
You would need to contact our tech support team directly on 1890 260 260.

    Thank you.

I'm not looking to troubleshoot, I know how to do that.

Also why is it so hard to get an answer as regards contention?

I know there are people you can ask in there to give you an answer; why will no one tell me?

If it's a digital signal sent through broadband for eirvision, is it a possibility that contention is causing a drop off in signal to the tv?

    Any chance of a response?

    Hi Drumsteve,

The social media team are unable to investigate this.

As my colleague, Ahren advised you will need to contact our technical team. They will be able to investigate this further.

Thanks for the reply Grainne, though I just asked a general question? Can no one help with that?
    Can contention affect ET?
Why do none of your online channels want to answer this question?

What an incredibly disappointing experience this has been; I've only asked a simple general question and each time I've got the same response (which I contacted out of curiosity, but I got as far as giving my phone number and the chat apparently expired within 30 seconds of this request ).

Do you have anywhere I can leave feedback?

I guess I'm just being ignored now

    Ah well.
