Can you please sort out the broadband situation in Oldgrange wood monasterevin, the front of the estate all have broadband, but the newer part have nothing, we've been in here 6 months and there's people been in 4 months before us! The glades are made up of 30 plus houses and none of us can get broadband, even tho were about 500 yards from the fibre cabinet! Can you please get someone to look into this, I'm at the end of my tether with it, if the cabinet is in the state we should have internet, I dunno who to be calling about this. Thank you

    Hi Aaron15,

The rollout of Fibre within a new estate can take some time, unfortunately.

If you PM me your account number, full name on the account, email address and date of birth I'll check this for you. If you have no account with ourselves feel free to send on your full address and Eircode.

    Thanks

    Tracey

Hi, I will be moving shortly to a new house in the same development and this is very concerning.

Could you please let me know when fibre or any kind of broadband will be available for the glades?

    Thank you

I will indeed, but it's not looking very likely to be soon unfortunately.

Hello Aaron, thanks for the info!

Did Eir confirm any possible dates with you? Did you check with Virgin Media as well?

    Thanks

With any new estate there is massive infrastructure needing to be built and invariably held up by licencing from the local council - 12 months plus is the norm to get connection

The estate is up longer than 12 months, 14-15 months

That would also depend on when they advised Openeir of the estate (they need to start building paths/hardware allocation well in advance of connections - this isn't stuff you buy off the shelf), has it been handed over to the local council and so on and so on

There's a man hole outside my house with fibre in it, it hasn't been activated I was told. So obviously they've done something
