    Hi
Hoping someone can steer me in the right direction. My transporter 09 has 240k miles. It’s been very well serviced and is very clean.
About a year ago I was getting hardstart problems whether it was cold or hot. I was told I needed a fuel pump in the tank as the pressure to the fuel filter was too low and so I got it replaced and it worked great, all good. Then in nov’18 s year later the same problem came back, very hard to start anywhere anytime. I was driving through a town and I had to keep the revs up because the van was trying to cut out like there was no Diesel getting to engine. I brought it to another mechanic and he did a couple pressure tests on it.
Once again the fuel pump was jacked the pressure was very low so I replaced it before the Christmas. The van is running a lot better now the only problem is in the morning when the van has been left sitting over night it’s hard start. Once started the rest of the day it run perfect.
I’ve been told a lot of things like fuel injector seals or a cracked injector head which isn’t good and I also know there could be alot of eliminating before I find the problem. Has anyone had any similar experience.
    All help appreciated
    Regards

Get the heater plugs checked , it sounds like one or two heater plugs could be gone.

That van has a dodgy injector and seals need to be replaced on the injectors.I had a similar problem i replaced the seals and put in a new injector and it was fine.
My van was hard to start in the morning but once it started would stop and start all day fine

Sound thanks. That’s the vibe I’m getting alright. If it’s that I don’t mind getting it done. Is it possible it could also have a cracked injector head. That’s what I’m afraid of

The seats where the injectors sit into will be fine. You will have to replace at least one injector.I would take the four out and send them to Portlaoise injectors to be tested. They will be able to tell you which one is faulty and recondition it for you
