Is there an android watch equivalent to apples watch 4?

I'm interested for the heart monitoring feature?

not exactly a smartwatch, but Withings have announced a new watch with ECG at CES:

you mean the ECG aspect specifically?

there is a new watch coming out soon that will work for android with ECG

it won't have heart-rate monitoring tho - just ECG

definitely the cheapest way to get the ECG feature and it's a normal looking watch.

Are you in your 60s or older?

If not the ECG is probably more harm than good. Fact is we don't have the stats to say for sure but its very likely to false positive.

I'm almost 50 and good health but heart disease is on both sides of my family.

not a bad deal but not what the OP is looking for at all.

Then go to your doctor and get a proper check out. At €60 a pop it'll be a few years before you come near the cost of the watch and the watch technology is still suspect. Not to mention the incorrect self diagnosis you will make from the data, especially if you Google the results!

well one aspect is that the apple watch has FDA certification and the withings watch mentioned here will be getting that also.

you normally have to go to a hospital for a full ECG test in Ireland afaik - not sure how many / if any doctors have it as an option.

I go to the doctor every 6 months .
