I’ve my car up in done deal.
131 Passat C LIne with 177k km (black)

    https://www.donedeal.ie/view/20711722

Was told by a mate in the trade I should be looking at €8k.

It’s listed at 8.5 k. Which is less than al the others with similar mileage (sub 200k miles).

Just looking for what I ought be listing it for and what I ought to be getting for it?

    Cheers

It's above average mileage for the year and very few people are going to shell out 8k+ for a car that the NCT expires on at the end of this month. You need to stick a fresh NCT on it otherwise people will think your not NCTing it because you know it fail.

Was hoping it’d be gone before nct expires.
    Can’t get an nct b4 Jan 16

Re mileage, it’s actually lower than other 131 on DoneDeal so I wouldn’t think mileage is an issue

The Irish are funny about mileage but it's certainly not a show stopper but the NCT is a big thing in that price range. A lot of Passats out there for sale too as well as UK imports so it's a buyer's market for them.

Think any nationality should be ‘funny’ about mileage. It’s a big thing for me.
Re the number for sale....using a filter for 13 passats below 200000 miles in Munster & Leinster with private sellers show only 8 cars...

I remember selling my 07 Lexus 2 years ago and there was about 30 of them!

My '09 Passat estate has 179Mm....= 179,000 Km up on the clock.

It really all depends on the type of travel done. If rural 100 Km per hour constant speed for long distances then I would see no problem. If urban STOP/START short journeys then there could be problems....or so I have been told.

What I mean by funny about mileage is that the Irish have a mileage figure in their head (usually 100k miles or km) and anything above that they tend to shy away from.

And when I do a search for all 2013 VW diesel Passats on dd with the only filter on being ex Northern Ireland, I see 99 of them for sale:

I think you'll struggle without an NCT. It's €55, why would you not send it through?

As I said, I can’t get a time until the 16th. I’d get the nct tomorrow if I could.
I’ve no issue with it. I know it’ll sail through.
    Cars mint.

Of the ones on your search cheaper than mine,
Ones an estate, ones a 2.0 auto, 2 have monster mileage.
Don’t see much of the ‘greenlight’ Verified either. Though I dunno if that’s an issue

Don’t think I’m all that off on the price?

It's not always the price that makes a car hard to sell. Get the car NCT'd and see how you fair then. Also your advert is only up 11 hours so it can take time to sell a car irrespective of how cheap it is.
