Where to buy downlight in Dublin

    I'm trying to replace a 60mm outdoor spotlight above the porch and seem to be having an unnecessary amount of bother getting one that fits. The springs have rusted on the old one so I tried to replace it with the same item from the UK... (Robus r101) This arrived in parcel motel missing the springs and the ring to hold the bulb in. See picture. I tried to get a similar item in homebase but they only had 80mm and they were massively overpriced. Can anyone tell me is there anywhere in Dublin I can walk in and get this for a couple of euro? It seems like such a simple item.... Thanks, Griff

    I’m not a sparks but a proper electrical suppliers should have them. CWE in coolmine or Edmundson electrical in Glasnevin etc.

    Them fittings wouldn't be ideal or designed for outdoor.

    I ended up getting one in B&Q in tallaght in the end for 1.50. For whatever reason no other hardware or light shops seemed to have them. Someone told me that they shouldn't be sold without a 'cage' for the stem of the bulb to prevent overheating but I don't know how true that is. Thanks for responses.
