Where to have an engagement ring valued?

    Hi,
    Can anyone recommend where to go to have an engagement ring valued? Would a regular jeweller do it or do you need to go to a specialist? Thanks!

    Did the person you bought it from not offer you a valuation for insurance purposes?

    They did & I had that done but I bought it abroad so I want to have it valued over here.

    My brother did the same, had the ring made abroad and brought back to Ireland. They used David dupuy, Irish Valuations. Based in Dublin City centre.
