    was looking to buy an fully electric golf or hyundai, then the new toyota self charging hybrid got my interest so which be the best buy...cheers

    You are probably better breaking down into daily distances, plus outliers, i.e. If you do Cork to Belfast once a month to visit the inlaws.

    Total mileage is a bit irrelevant

    What’s your standard average distance, commute to work, dropping off kids etc. Any regular long drives you need to do?

    Do you own a house? Have you a driveway?

    All cars with a a battery have regeneration, there's no such thing as self charging or you wouldn't need an petrol engine or a plug....

    15000kms a year so~300km a week. Say a five day week that's only 60km a day. Definitely be looking at full EV rather than a half-arsed hybrid.

    Depends.....maybe OP works from home a few days


    Has a number of long distance drives.....


    Doesnt have a driveway to instal a charger...
