Buzzing box in hot press

At some point over Christmas, something in the hot press started buzzing. The noise is constant and vibrates loudly against the wall, which unfortunately is shared with a bedroom. Would anyone have an idea what's that box for and what I can do to fix the noise? It's quite hot and there's "auto" and "man" written on it though I couldn't really feel any button or switch. I gave it a gentle-but-firm shake tonight and the buzzing is back to the lower levels like at Christmas, but I'd like to be rid of it completely. I'm not sure if I can be more rough with it without damaging something? If that matters the immersion in there's never used, water is heated with gas boiler.

It looks like a motorised valve. Danfoss hpa2?

Maybe it's on the way out

It’s a motorized valve for your central heating or hot water. Possibly coming to the end of its life. A plumber or electrician could replace it (or yourself if your handy)
    Rebelbuttmunch got there before me.

It appears to be a Danfoss HPA2 2 port valve actuator.

Looks like a cheap enough part to replace. I have no idea how hard that is, I wouldn't touch it myself.

Looks like a valve, probably needs to be replaced.

Great everyone, thanks for the help! I'm trying to figure things out by myself before just ringing for help but I think I'll call the plumber on Monday for that one. It's in a really awkward place. Glad I'll be able to explain a bit more than just "huh there's a noise??" at least ;) Cheers!
