    Build your own machine.

You can probably get 70 quid for your R9 270x which can fund another 8Gb RAM

Thanks very much for the reply and parts list.

However I don't want to build it myself. Do you think my specs are an ok system if I added in your graphics card to the pc later.
Also would my parts list be good enough for the next 4-5 years.
    Thanks again for the help.

Why don't you want to build it yourself? it really is a very straight forward procedure. Just wondering. as for PC Specialist I bought a laptop from them last year and had to return it as it had a litany of problems.

4-5 years not a chance. PC with those specs is entry level now let alone in 5 years. If money is an issue then obviously you have to make do. If i was you i'd just get a console seriously PCs are expensive now. Thats a Minecraft build or Stardew Valley let alone Battlefield 5. Not boosting but i paid nearly 2.4k on a EVGA 2080ti OC Ultra Gaming and an X34p monitor. Will my card run triple A titles in 5 years not a hope. You need to spend money to build a PC that would have a few years in it let alone 5. Second those parts a single 120gb SSD drive BF 5 is close to 60gb? On top of your OS another 70+? Stock cooler you can pick up an 212 Evo for buttons now. Not sure you have worked this out to be fair. My advice BUY A CONSOLE :D

He was asking will the core be good enough for the next 5 years.

It will be realistically, may start to show cracks before then but on the whole it'll last 5 years fine.

Also saying your 2080ti run triple AAA titles in five years, not a hope...?

The equivalent of that back five years ago would've been something like 780ti in Sli....still capable of running the latest games at high settings.

In five years from now the 2080ti will still be a very decent card most likely. Especially when it's a single card solution.

Sure the Gtx690 is over six years old, was the 2080ti of it's day, still runs new games pretty good, it's lack of video ram hurts it now rather than core speed.

When we talk about entry level you could've built a Pc for €800 in 2013 with an i5 4670 and something like hd7950.

That same machine today would still run most new games at pretty OK levels, and would still be very upgradable too.

Dunno wouldnt agree with you technology moves at breakneck speed no more so in PCs. The only core in that build is the case atleast its RGB you kinda future proofed it:p You said you had Windows on another SSD sorry i didnt see that. Plus the 270x had 2gs of VRAM that will be a hugh worry even if you run at 1080p which i take for granted you do. Triple A titles now on that spec are going be running at very conservative settings. Not being a prick here but a little spoon full of reality wont hurt. Anyone know where you can buy a games console ;)

Your replying to the wrong poster. Terror is one of the most knowledgeable posters on this forum and always willing to offer a helping hand. You on the other hand are coming across quite poorly.

Thanks for all of the replies.

I only have that ssd in the build because you need a storage drive included when ordering from pc specialist.
I have an ssd already that's bigger.
I realize that the r9 270x wont last another five years I am only using it temporarily until I get a new card.(RX570/580)
    I already have Windows 10

I just wanted to know if the processor, motherboard and ram were all good together.
at the moment i am using a budget build A10 5800k with r9 270x specced by a few people here about 5/6 year ago. would a ryzen 5 2600 and RX570/580 be the new budget build.
    Thanks again for the help.

    @mower

    I'd give OCUK a call:
    https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ocuk-tech-labs-amd-ryzen-home-and-small-office-micro-atx-configurator-fs-01t-tl.html#p=bsaR2Y9,bsba2Y,xbsbb2Y;6bsbc2Y+8bsbd2Y,Ubsbe2Y+9bsbf2Y;Xbsbg2Y+;bsbh2Y+,bsbi2Y++bsbj2Y,+bsbk2Y+*bsbl2Y+)bsbm2Y+(bsbn2Y,#bsbo2Y+6

    Compared to the PCspecialist build:
I wouldn't expect the Thermaltake V200 to have good airflow (single intake on side of front panel) and the Corsair VS550 PSU is junk IMHO.

Take a long hard look at these pre building companies. Your paying a premium for the assembly and chances are your getting cost cutting inferior components. Now if you only a console :D:D:D

They 100% are. They'll last years. Maybe consider 3000mhz RAM over 2666mhz but on the whole, the core is solid.

The 5800K isn't comparable at all really, even relative to when it came out it was a horrible and very outdated processor.

The Ryzen 2600 is reasonably priced but it's far from a budget processor. Once you bang in the RX580 or 590 you'll be set for a few years at decent settings.

As I said already, there are people built equivalent builds back in 2013/2014 that are still going pretty well today, early 2019.

I actually got my rig built by scan €40 cheaper than buying the parts and then having to build myself.
Top class components and build from scan.
Your attempt to talk down to terrorfirmer proved to me you really havent got a clue what your talking about.

mower ignore this guys input he is so off the mark big time :)

I dont charge myself to build my own PC built 4 now in the last 10 years. Feels kind of sad to me clicking on just the parts available from a company when i would sooner buy my own and then build. Buying quality components with solid reviews makes for less gremlins in the future. Was there a ribbon tied around it when it arrived :o

Ignore this lad. His weird attitude is eclipsed only by his obviously lack of tech knowledge.

The b450 board and 2600 will be a great platform going forward. Might also be worth waiting a few days to pull the trigger to see what AMD announcebat CES next week as there's rumours of Ryzen 3000 series CPUs and Navi GPUs launching with ridiculously low price points. If they do launch or are announced you'll have a decent idea of where your b450 and 2600 sit for a while yet.

Why I do think you'd be better off selling your current system GPU and all and building a new machine I understand your hesitancy.

Just consider that for the price you're paying without a GPU you could get a higher clocked ram and an RX 580 for the same price or less if you did a self build. Ryzen Locke's higher ram speeds and it will make a huge difference in your experience.
