As part of a family trip to Australia we are planning a 5 or 6 day stop over in Tokyo and looking for tips on where to stay and what to see on a budget, 2 adults and 3 kids. All advice welcome

i wudnt burn the 6 days in Tokyo. I had a fairly good look around in 2 days. Get on the train to Kyoto/Hiroshima etc after a few days as its such an amazing country and so far away, you might never get back.

Shibuya crossing, kids will love it esp taking videos of time lapses from the Starbucks looking down
Coffee shop like Reissue where you bring your own pictures and they do latte art and foam art (on hot chocolates too - kids I brought loved it)
Main Pokémon store and cafe (hard to find but worth it if kids are keen)
Virtual reality gaming centre - great craic, esp the mario kart
Teamlab digital borderless exhibit - it's incredible, great kids areas too (art centre to draw at)
Emerging Science museum - aismo robot exhibition
Spend time wandering around a Don Quixote store, they are crazy, brill for souveniours too, and just totally mad

    Tokyo is so much fun!
