Internal Doors - frame, skirting & architrave

I want to get an arch between rooms in my house squared off and double doors fitted instead. I have ordered the doors (including handles and hinges) already but my question is whether the builder/carpenter normally supplies the doors frame, architrave and skirting? Or do I need to get them myself too?

Any help appreciated. I'm new to all this.

    Either or.
Builder will typically get them at trade prices. Whether they give you the benefit of that is another question.

If you've already bought some of the bits, it might make more sense for you to just get all the bits you need yourself, and pick the styles and such that you like.

Door frames are literally just lengths of wood that the fitter has to cut on site (much to my surprise, i figured it was sold as a 'frame' because it was pre-cut, but nonetheless my carpenter wasn't phased, so presumably the norm).

Definitely shop around though. The price variances I got on fitting doors was mental. Got a chap for €70 per door. Did a fantastic job and I've had him back again for skirting/architrave etc, and will be getting him again in future, too. Next cheapest price I could get was €100 per door and the chap wasn't as interested in any jobs that were in any way awkward.

If you live near me (louth) let me know and I'll PM you the chap I used. I dunno if his pricing has changed or if i just got a good price because he lives nearby (no idea where he lives) or something like that, but I found his work (and attitude, reliability) flawless.

Other lads were showing up late, with an 'am I bothered' attitude and looking for €150 a door. Best of luck if they're getting it, but I wasn't entertaining them.
