Think I was meant to set this up last week but I got lost in a haze of Xmas and New Years.

Anyway, my pick is our mod for the past decade or however long this forum is going now since we broke from soccer!

To get it started, Fanta or Club Orange?

What’s the best part of modding the forum?

What has been the lowest point?

    Your favorite ever FPL asset?

Which football manager would make the best Del Boy if they did a reboot of only fools and horses? This has to be currently active manager purely to exclude Harry.

    Pineapple on pizza?

    How about on toast?

    What is your favourite metaphor?

Do you find this is a self-moderating forum?

Compared to other forums the cards issued and hassle seems very minimal.

What do you think you’re much better at than you actually are? FPL can’t be your answer

Favourite FPL assets - top three

    Pet hate

Who’s been your FPL player of the season

What movie quote do you roll out regularly

Suarez, Ronaldo, RVP who’s been the greatest FPL player?

How/why did you become a mod?

Do you think the game is better with or without the chips?

who do you support and does it ever affect your FPL team much?

    Favourite Movie/TV show?

Alan Pardew in a prequel series.

Pineapple on pizza for sure, but never tried toast. You have be interested now.

I have lots - one I used today at work in an end-of-year review where someone had a better year than last!

“Failure is the condiment that gives success its flavor.”

    It was said in jest.

Right now, it's a very easy forum to moderate - everyone here is super respectful. You get the odd report especially when there is a contentious FPL-related occurrence but people are really good to each other here.

You'll sometimes find someone who is new to boards who will come on here with a posting style that needs to be reigned in very quickly, particularly if they have no experience of the Soccer forum.

Thing I'm not as good as than I think
Video games in general, I think I'm good and am probably dining on my skills as a kid. But when I look at how I rank in various games I play, it's not great if I'm being honest :D

    Favorite 3 FPL assests
Current: Wilson, Fraser (even though I sold him two gw back), Son
Past: Michu, Kane at 5m, Baines at 4m

    Pet hate
People who think they are never wrong, people parking in disabled spots.

My FPL player of the season
Callum Wilson, has been a great differential in my leagues. Incredible value.

    Movie quote I use often.
"You shallll not passs" - to my 11-month old who is crawling fecking everywhere.

    Suarez, Ronaldo, RVP

    Tough one - Ronaldo

I was asked to become a mod in the fifa forums because I was doing a lot of work starting a FIFA league. Later, I was asked to mod Xbox and then FSA. I was the category mod of Games for a few years but I stepped back as I hadn't enough time to commit to it fully.

Regarding chips, I can understand they are there to give the more casual player more of a chance to compete but I'm not a huge fan of them. The Triple captain is something that adds too much variance to one decision.

Most people save them up for the end of the season anyways so I don't think they serve the purpose intended. I'd also do away with one wildcard. If FPL scrapped the TC, bench boost and free hit, I wouldn't lose sleep.

I support Manchester United. It doesn't affect my team selection but I do hate it when I am hoping they concede to one of my FPL players (so long as they win the game).

Favourite show - Right now, I'm loving Daredevil S3 and The Good Place. I don't get a lot of time to watch TV these days so am very selective about what I watch. As for film, Contact. Just loved it. I also have a soft spot for Cloud Atlas and Interstellar - both flawed but love what they were trying to do.

Fanta but haven’t drank any soft drinks in over a year.

    Best part of modding
The community here is second to none on boards in my opinion. Great people who possess a very high level of FPL knowledge.

    Lowest Part.
Defending myself from a few people who had questioned my modding here. I found the whole thing hurtful. Ended up spending a couple of nights out my honeymoon trying to prove myself as a good mod. In retrospect, I should have just let the admins judge the situation for what it was and chilled out a lot more. In fairness, it was idiotic to even post a single sentence but I’m a more related person now.

    Favourite FPL asset
Michu. Brought him in GW1 when he ran riot. Had picked him out preseason and he delivered in spades. I was sitting in a bar in Krakow on the opening day of the season and he ran riot. Will always have a soft spot for him.

Hey futureguy, my favourite mod on here.

Do you know anywhere in Limerick that does a good burrito?

Are you doing much running these days, are you getting faster or slower?

Do you play any other games aside from FIFA?

Are you still playing much now that you're married ?

Swiper, good to see you on here.

In Limerick, I recommend Badass Burrito on Catherine Street for all your burrito needs. Boojum is good too but you can get that in other cities.

As for running, I was doing really well, got my 5k down to 22:25 around November but have been plagued with illness and injury since. Getting back to park run now but about a minute off my Pb yet. Adare 10k at end of February is my next race.

Apart from a little FUT and the great career mode in FIFA 17, I haven’t played fifa seriously since FIFA 10. Threw a controller off a wall. That was a bit of a wake up call.

I’m currently playing Red Dead 2, close to the end and really enjoying it. I’ll generally play from around 930-1100 three times per week once my wife and son are asleep. I also play Hearthstone as it a perfect pick up and play game - 5 minutes to play a game.

I received Assassins Creed Odyssey for Christmas and that will be next.

Apart from that, I love Overwatch, most Nintendo AAA titles and the big RPGs - Skyrim etc.

As for being married and being a dad, you begin to manage your time better especially with a little one in the house. I do think at times I have put games in front of real life a few times before, but having the family now puts everything into perspective.

Yeah. Happier that’s ive been in quite a while. Had a rough time around this time two years ago and it took a lot to get back to some semblance of normality but doing well now. Really enjoy being a dad.

Plus, United are back to playing watchable football.

It depends entirely on the forum to be honest, but FSA is probably one of the easiest to mod.

People are good to report stuff which means I don't have to trawl over every post - I can mod while just reading and interacting. So, outside of my normal browsing, maybe 30 mins/week.

Eden Hazard is one of the greatest points of frustration for me - I dodged his hauls on a regular basis and he blanked regularly when I owned him. The lesson here is to either keep him for the season or don't bother with him at all.

Richarlison has generally been good for me but its a small sample size. Had him in for his fantastic run last year and sold him when his stats fell off a cliff. He's done well for me this year too.

Taken from a character from Star Trek Enterprise in 2005, just when the series was on TV. He was a person that communicated from the 28th century to alter events in the 22nd century. Great idea, poorly executed. I joined boards to talk games and Star Trek. It stuck.

One person asked if that meant I was a woman awaiting a sex change :D

Gamweek22 captain is most likely Salah - I don't have him in my team yet but I have 2FT so will make that work with a -4.

Christmas was fairly rough but we are all ok now. My mum's health is poor - she has end stage COPD so regular hospital visits are part of our lives. So the day after my inlaws arrived from Poland (19th), my mum had to go in to A+E. My dad is the total opposite - he's 82 and he is as strong as an ox. If I'm half as healthy as him at that age, I'd be happy. The very same day, as my mum was waiting for the ambulance, he slipped on the bathroom floor and hit his head on the corner of the shower. An inch lower and to the side, he was probably dead. He got away with a 3 inch gash on the back of his head buy needed an ambulance too.

So there were TWO ambulances out that day. My mum got home a few days ago, my dad was only there overnight. So we had Polish Christmas on the 24th December and we had our family Christmas day yesterday. Presents, turkey and ham dinner, mulled wine etc. My brain thinks it's St. Stephens.

As for New Years, in bed well before 1030 :D

Just one thing, if you smoke, I absolutely beg you to give them up. I promise each and every one of you, you don't want to end up like my mum, slowly dying for years, lungs failing, cannot do anything without almost suffocating. It's a long and horrific way to go. She gave them up at age 53, 6 months later, they noticed the first signs of emphysema which has progressed slowly. You also do not want to do it to your loved ones.
