People who want something for nothing

    What's up with them?

You know the people who would walk into a Mercedes dealership and be shocked when they see an E Class is considerably more expensive than a Ford Fiesta in the dealership next door? The people who buy mattresses and beds off travellers on Facebook only to be shocked that they're utter ****e? The people who are appalled by tradesmen having minimum charges, because who'd have guessed it, their time is valuable?

They are a few kicks up the arse outstanding . Until life administers what's owed, reality and their expectations of it will fail to correspond. The longer they must wait for a reality check the harder they fall.

    I blame the parents.

I can't wrap my head around the concept of "expenses" either. I'll ask my local TD.

People who want a website designed, keep changing the design and then don't want to pay because the designer didn't do what was asked/only added a bit of colour/barely changed anything etc. I don't know how designers don't end up committing murder.

We had an architect and when we just moved a few walls around, and the orientation slightly. And changed the roof and windows a bit he wanted more money.

    Cheeky fcuker.

Great, now I‘ve got that song stuck in my head again...

    Could be worse, actually

Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!

My neighbour is a classic example. He and his wife are very well off but he’s as miserable as they come. He got a new conservatory built and cladding on the front of his house. He paid a bunch of cowboys pennies to do it and it has leaked since it was built, probably ten years ago now. He has had countless cheap tradesmen out every year since to try and repair it and every single one of them has failed as they’re not qualified and could barely be classed as handymen let alone tradesmen. He refuses to spend the money and get it fixed properly, i.e. take it down and put it up properly and has probably spent quadruple what a proper job would have cost in the first place if he weren’t such a cheap skate. His house is now damp and smelly as a result and yet he still doesn’t see the bigger picture.

Family gets the free outer wall insulation, no one working, Toyota Hilux parked outside cost 23-28k, seems like some people are getting it.

Never met anyone who expected an E class Merc to cost the same as a fiesta..

It's not a real thing is it?

Do you normally keep such close tabs on your neighbours?
