    Hi Guys,

My employer has been paying health insurance for the 4 years or so.

Employer pays the policy which is about 142 per month. I also pay private dental which is 115 a year.

Is it possible to claim tax back on this?

    Thanks,

    F

On the Health insurance, yes, if your employer pays it. It's relieved at the marginal rate on the cost of the policy up to €1,000. You can claim it through myaccount online.

None on private dental because it gets tax relief at source. It's like a discount.

    Thanks SP.

In the account section, how much do I type to claim?

I also noticed that on my P21 I see a medical tax relief of 200e.

    Are they both related?

The 200 euro credit is the tax relief which you should have already received the benefit of, through the year. Make sure it's there for the last 4 years.

I have just checked my tax certificate. It wasn't there in 2016, I worked from July and have been in constant employment till present.
In 2017, 71.80 euro was applied not 200e.

It seems the full 200e was applied for 2018.
