Hi there Reps.  As above I want to continue with my Eir €40 complete package that I got last year.  I was told when I started it to contact Eir the month before the package was to end (midnight 1/2/2019) I have been on the phone for yonks! wow you guys are busy.. I've been bounced from dept to dept and then cut off on several occasions. I've tried chat and E mail to no avail so I've come here.

I do not want to exit my deal with Eir as I am very happy with both the service and the price that I receive just now.  I do not want to be sold another package or upgrade to a free mobile etc.  and I do not want to increase my payments, nor do I want to completely disconnect and go to Sky or Virgin who have similar alternative offers, one of them cheaper I might add, I'm happy with the existing arrangement and want to continue with it.

    Hi iceage,

Thank you for getting in touch with us here.

Unfortunately, we would are unable to deal with these kinds of queries via our social media channels.

I suggest that you call either our Customer Care department on 1901 or Sales department on 1800 773 729. They will be able to assist you further with this from there.

What's the package, did that include broadband?

Broadband and landline.  Eventually got through to loyalty rep on the phone.. Very disappointing response from Eir, I am now forced to cancel my bundle then reconnect as a NEW customer to be charged an extra €5 a month for what I have already!  The girl I spoke to does not have the autonomy to even do this, to get this €45 a month deal I have to do it online I can't do it on the phone with her.. but get this, they will accept my cancellation instruction over the phone??  Where is the logic to this?   No concession for long standing customers or their loyalty.

I am now looking at a Sky broadband+TV bundle(who I'd swore I'd never go back to)

Yeah the way Eir operate is definitely questionable! I pay 55 for broadband alone, maybe I should look around :)

Faith restored!  Got onto cancellations finally after a 25 min wait, my inquiry to cancel my service was handled by an absolute Gentleman called John Paul. After again explaining my situation and desire to remain with Eir and the existing package that I had he went away for a couple of minutes, to return to inform me that he was able to offer me my requested package at the same price as he was able to apply another €5 discount!

Kudos to this guy he has made my actual week!  E mail arrived to confirm same so I will see how this fairs out when the first bill arrives but I am quietly confident that J.P. knew what he was doing as a customer Rep, well done that man.

If a Rep here comes across this here on Boards you might pass this up the way, that this is how Eir will hang onto long standing customers by listening to them and at least try and make an effort to rectify a problem rather than trying to fob a customer off by pushing a bundle on them because "thats all that is on offer"
