    Hi there,

Any idea where I could buy a buzzer for Henny Penny chicken fryer. The company will only sell it with a new computer/circuit board which costs 1500, but the technician feels I could get the part online.

The one we pulled out of the machine has the following printed on it:
    MISCO
    50RN16M-2LS
    China
    13c

But a search of combinations of those figures doesn't seem to yield any results.

    Thanks very much.

Mains powered or low voltage? A.c. or DC?

A few checks with a meter should confirm what it is.

    Is it pcb mounted?

Post a pic here of the existing one...

Also, no idea if it's A.C or DC I'm afraid.

It's just a little speaker ( with a plastic cone so it won't fall apart due to steam n moisture )

You need the right one though or you might blow the board

    It is *probably 8 ohms

Have you a little meter you could measure it with ?

I don't, the technician did when he called in, and he is due to call again so I can find out.

As the poster above said its just a speaker, they actually don't fail too often. Get it checked with a multi meter as above it should be some where around 8 ohms. Or if you don't have a meter just connect an AA battery across the two wires going to it, you should hear a little pop/crackle as you attach / detach the wires.

They don't fail too often, so it maybe the PCB which is driving the speaker which has failed.

    http://www.miscospeakers.com/speakers

    I'd guess 50mm , 16 Ohms Impedance
