I'm wondering if Triathlon ireland are going to start checking competitors' bikes to see if they are electric or not. Up till now it was fairly visible as to whether a bike was an ebike but with new models such as the Orbea Gain D 40 electric road bike, its becoming very difficult to distinguish newer generation ebikes from standard road bikes especially during the cursory checks done by volunteers on entering transition.
