Hi, travelling to New York in February with first leg of journey from Dublin to Amsterdam with Delta but fulfilled by KLM. Schedule has us arriving into Amsterdam at 08.35 and departing at 09.30 with Delta. A bit concerned about such a short time between flights. Has anyone done this route before with similar times?

    Thanks in advance.

    See here... https://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2057939989

If the flight is operated by Delta, you'll need to do a brief security check at gate D1 or E1 (whichever is on your boarding pass) where they'll then tell your actual departure gate.

Just a follow up on my post in case this situation arises for anyone else. Arrived at terminal C and departed at terminal D. The walk was no more than ten minutes. No passport control or security checks. However, at the boarding gate it seemed that anyone from connecting flights were taken aside for a check which included a swab of carry on luggage. All could have been done in 20 minutes.

Glad to hear it went well. Transfers are generally straightforward in Schiphol.

The only risk is that the outbound morning flights from Dublin are reasonably often delayed from taking off due to operational issues in Schiphol. As someone who has spent over 2 years commuting weekly to Amsterdam, I wouldn’t be inclined to rely on a short connection from an early morning Dublin inbound.
