VRT on Audi A4 question

    Hi everyone,
First off, Happy New Year! And thanks for taking your time here to help me out,

So I am thinking about buying a 2013 Audi A4 from northern Ireland, The car itself is nicely priced but it's the VRT calculations that have me a bit curious.
The car itself is an Audi A4 Se Tdi 136Bhp
After checking the Co2 emissions on a UK website it's 112
So my problem is that the VRT website has 2 different options for this model car,
The first calculation came in at €2505
The other came in at €1302
As you can see these prices are very far apart and knowing my luck I would get the higher amount, I need to find out is there any kind of service that I could use to get the exact amount of VRT payable before I actually bought the car or is it just a guessing game with the VRT system.
Thanks again for any and all help

The VRT folks will go off the co2 figure that is on the car's V5 registration document. So check with the seller what figure is on the car's V5c registration document. There were a couple of different engine and model variants of the A4 back then so make sure you are selecting the specific one your looking at from the VRT configurator. Some of these variants had lower co2 emissions which might explain the price discrepancy.

    Hello,

I thinking of buying an Audi A4 2012-1014 range also.

How much do you think you are saving by buying in Norther Ireland?
What the price before VRT in Northern Ireland vs. price in the republic?

    Thanks!
